British violinist Joel Munday performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. While his extensive repertoire incorporates all of the major violin works, he has a particular interest in exploring less-known and contemporary music. He has the pleasure of studying with Daniel Rowland, as well as receiving mentorship from Alina Ibragimova. In 2023, he was an inaugural winner of the London Symphony Orchestra’s Conservatoire Scholarship. The coming season will see him perform with orchestras including the London Mozart Players. He is a Stift International Festival Young Artist and has been invited to festivals including IMS Prussia Cove and Classic con Brio Festival, Germany. Joel’s regular chamber music partner is the pianist Julian Trevelyan. He has taken masterclasses with pedagogues including Shmuel Ashkenazi, Mihaela Martin and Lewis Kaplan. Joel plays a violin by Andreas Hudelmayer.
